About Della & Darcy
Della and Darcy Perduin were born just seven minutes apart in a small Southern town.
There has been, and continues to be, passionate debate about who is actually the eldest. The birth certificates indicate that Della emerged first, but Darcy maintains that the two identical babies were mixed up so much during their infancy, that Darcy is actually Della and therefore the eldest –
whereupon the current Della usually reminds the current Darcy that it matters not who the eldest is since these are not medieval times when being first-born guaranteed one the right of heir to the throne, a fiefdom, 600 goats, and thousands of comely serfs –
whereupon the current Darcy usually mocks the current Della for her liberal arts degree in 11th Century Anglo-Saxon Studies by suggesting that simply taking a summer job as a “fair maiden” at the local Medieval Times theme restaurant would have been just as educational and far less costly than four years of college –
whereupon the current Della usually calls into question the alleged diploma that the current Darcy claims to have received since no one in the family was invited to the graduation or has received a transcript from the institution in question –
and so it goes — you know how twins are.
The So Then… Stories offer a glimpse into the lives of the Perduin Sisters, the deliciously catty, vain, judgmental, spontaneous twins whose lives take two divergent paths. The Perduin Sisters tell stories like it’s midnight at the local tavern, they’re hepped up on mojitos, and they’re regaling you with their latest exploits. Each story is filled with action — a tight, funny, real-time account of their adventures, schemes, and blunders. You join in mid-story, (just when it gets to the good part), and feel you are IN the action with the first-person, present tense point-of-view.
These are your fun girlfriends. Would they help you move? Uh…no. Would they help you trick your boss into a day off for an emergency “tarkaplectomy?” Absolutely!
Della highlights her comical adventures as a married Mom in LA’s suburbia. Della and her husband David live in Brockwell, a lovely LA suburb, with their son Tucker and daughter Chloe.
Darcy explores her entertaining escapades as a single woman in NY’s corporate world. Darcy enjoys dating, lives in Gramercy Park (adjacent), and travels frequently as VP of a Fortune 500 consumer products company.
